Utility power going in and out? Follow these steps to stabilize your power!

Is your utility power going in and out during a storm/hurricane, and it’s causing your GENERAC to start and stop?

In order to transition to a stable power supply during challenging conditions, you can seamlessly shift to full GENERAC power by following these THREE simple steps:

  1. Open the Transfer Switch: When it is safe to do so, head outdoors and open up the transfer switch.

  2. Turn Off Main Breaker: Proceed by switching off the main breaker to disconnect the utility company's power from your location.

  3. Close the Transfer Switch: Finalize the process by securely closing the transfer switch to ensure a reliable power supply from GENERAC.

By completing these steps, you can efficiently ensure a steady flow of power to your location without any complications.

At Boudreaux's Electrical Services, we understand the frustration and potential damage that unstable utility power can bring to your electronics at home or business. Voltage issues are a common problem, but there is a simple solution to mitigate these risks - switching over to GENERAC power.

When the utility company is providing a stable source of power, you can switch back by following the same steps as when switching to generator power. Simply turn ON the main breaker inside the transfer switch. This will allow your electrical system to once again utilize the utility power, ensuring a seamless transition back to the main power supply. Remember to always exercise caution and follow proper procedures when switching power sources to avoid any electrical issues.

Most importantly, ALWAYS give us a call if you need any help and we can get one of our certified technicians out to you when the conditions are safe.
